Constructions Test

30 07 2010

A quick way to test bisecting and angle or a side is to construct a triangle and ask the student to bisect all the angles or all the sides. If they are accurate the bisections will intersect, in both cases. This is immediately able to be marked as correct or incorrect.

The intersection of the angle bisectors is the incentre of the triangle. The intersection of the side bisectors is the circumcentre of the triangle.
