Full of Mathematics

I have just finished knitting this circular baby rug. It has taken 35 – 40 hours of constant counting. The centre section involved 35 rows of increasing until there were 289 stitches. The patterned section consisted of 17 patterns of 8 rows and then the edging required 16 rows for every 8 stitches.
